Student to me: "I might be little embarrassed for telling you this but I'm gonna tell you anyway. You look very pretty today." (Blush)

The other day I was letting the kids work... When one of my students came up and said, "I just can't do this. It's too hard and it doesn't make any sense." I told her that if she said "my name is ____ and I can do this!" that she'd actually be able to do something. I thought the conversation went completely over her head...apparently not. Two days later she came up to me, showed me her work and said "I told myself that my name was ____ and I can do this. look! I did it miss h!!!"

I love fun art projects and the story of the rainbow fish. I have fond memories of my kindergarten teacher reading it to me. And now, I get to share it with my kiddos. So tender!

When school started, I decided I wanted to document happy times in room 10...and with my grateful heart in general.  On the first day of school, in my desk calendar I wrote: "SO many sweet kids." Although life gets crazy, and sometimes I wonder if I'm doing the best job I can at work, I am so grateful for this wonderful job that I have. I have 24 kiddos to love and teach this year and it makes my heart happy.
